Meeting Bule

So I met *bule last weekend. It was a short meeting, but nice, nevertheless. Never had I thought before that I would have ever met this young, talented photographer. But the fact that I live in Bali and that most vacationers, including *bule, will choose this godly island among some other thousands of islands in Indonesia gives me a heap of opportunity to meet different people.

One bugging thing about it is that I couldn't take any photo to prove it. My camera's definitely broken because of the flood.

GGGRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I'M SOOOOOO MAD!

Ah well, happy new year.

Carla.

So I was tagged by *coshipi. Sorry it took a while to finally write 8 random things about me, but I don't know if anyone will care enough to read it. :P

1. I dislike sweet things. Don't bother to offer me sweets, honey, apple pie and other sweet food.

2. My left little finger was injured when I was playing cricket when I was still in the 5th grade. It made a crack sound when I got the ball stuck between my fingers. And if you look at it more carefully, it's actually not as normal as it previously was.

3. I started swimming just in January this year. (Finally after years of deep water phobia)

4. For some unknown reason, I often get stalked. Perhaps there is this invisible tag on my forehead that says, "Follow me. Please!"

5. I'm bad at sports. Almost any kind of sports.

6. I'm the queen of Trumps card game! At least I'd like to claim I am!

7. I can sleep 15 hours straight without even at once waking up. Not even for water and food.

8. I've a good mathematics skill.

Merry Merry Christmas to every one!

I'm back in Surabaya for Christmas and New Year. I've already forgotten how hot my hometown is! But anyway, it's good to see my mom and family again.

Anyway, my battery charger is broken.. so I won't be taking pics for a while until I get it fixed. But I'll try to submit some older stuff.

In the mean time, I'll just enjoy my time here and I hope you will, too!

Speak soon!

Carla

I'm Safe, Guys. Thanks for Concerning..

Hi Friends,

Thank you soooo much for the emails, calls and text messages. I'm safe from the earthquake that happened lately ([link]) in Central Java, Indonesia. So.. don't worry. But I do really really appreciate your concerns.

It's been a while since I wrote my last journal. I believe I haven't kept you updated quite much. :giggle:
Well... I got a job in Tegal, Central Java, as a teacher. Thus I had to move out of Surabaya (East Java). I started working here the 1st of May and things are quite busy at the new place. :P It's quite fun, though.

As in the earthquake, I did feel the shake that morning. Woke up with my bed rattling. I did not panic but still, I had a slight worry about how to get out of this building (I live in the same building as my office) for I haven't got the gate key until now. Fortunately it was a weak earthquake in where I live, so everyone is safe and good.

There's no more earthquake, we hope. But we've been anticipacing about the volcano eruption [[link] that is predicted to blow in about two weeks. :o
I live quite far from it, but my workmates and I expect to have some big impacts when it does indeed erupt.

Buuut, beside all that, life is good. I'm so away from the people I love, but at the same time I feel so much closer to them.

I hope all go well.

Cheerio!
Carla.
